Daniel K. Adkins is Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer for Hartman and Tyner, Inc. who own Mardi Gras Gaming in Hallandale Beach, Florida. In Florida, he successfully spearheaded the campaign to bring legal casino gambling to Broward County’s four pari-mutuel facilities. Most recently, this set the stage for the state to negotiate a revenue sharing agreement with the Seminole Tribe. For the past 22 years, Mr. Adkins has successfully managed Hartman and Tyner’s racing interests in Michigan, Minnesota, Florida, and West Virginia. Additionally, he oversees the real estate management and development division of Hartman and Tyner, Inc.

In West Virginia in 1994, he successfully steered legislation to allow slot machines at pari-mutuel facilities. Then again, in 2006, to expand to full casino gaming. He is also admired for his commitment to and involvement in many charitable organizations. Due to his efforts, Florida and West Virginia have stronger economies with a broader employment base – and state residents and tourists can enjoy a great entertainment experience!
