Mardi Gras Casino was fortunate to have award winning chef Sallyanne Kelly take the helm as our food and beverage manager in 2009. She is responsible for the management of all 7 restaurants, bars and lounges throughout the casino. An Irish native, Sallyanne has had an impressive career as a chef and hotel restaurant manager in Dublin and New York before coming to South Florida. Sallyanne began her career studying culinary arts and hotel management in her native Dublin. Upon graduating she spent several years developing her skills as a sous chef in Ireland. In the mid-90’s she worked her way across the pond landing in New York City. There her career took off as she rose to executive chef and restaurant manager at several top New York hotels and restaurants including Sabena’s, the Manhattan Ocean Club and the Times Square Westin. Sallyanne is the recipient of several major culinary awards including; 2 Gold Medals at America’s Culinary Cup in Chicago, a Silver Medal at the European Culinary Championships in London and a bronze medal at the World Culinary Olympics as a member of the Irish culinary team. She brings her great energy, a commitment to service and a European sensibility toward cuisine to our South Florida casino. |
