1/7/08
HALLANDALE BEACH, FL - Mardi Gras Gaming & Casino in Hallandale Beach, Florida, is ahead of the game amongst other pari-mutuel establishments in the entire Sunshine State, installing Progressive Slot machines on the casino floor. The State of Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation gave the pari-mutuels the go in December and Mardi Gras was the first to have it in time for the New Year. In addition to having 1,200 Vegas style slot machines in house, 34 Progressive Slot machines were installed in three different slot banks. An additional 33 more will be added in the next three to four weeks.
Mardi Gras is excited about the development since it will attract a wider spectrum of clientele and a variety of excitement. The progressive winning pot is much larger than a normal slot machine. It is taken from all the machines with each bank, varying from a minimum bet of a penny to a maximum bet of $3.75. Currently, the main jackpot is in the Hot Shots machines at $36,000 and continues to grow. Within a month, there will be a total of 7 banks.
Mardi Gras is located between US 1 and Dixie Highway on Pembroke Road, offering 70,000 square feet of casino excitement; a large selection of Vegas style slot machines, action packed poker tables in addition to premiere greyhound racing.
