Hollywood Florida Casino Comedy Showcase Event Highlights

On August 18th & 19th, 2011 40 comics performed in the Showcase Round of the Mardi Gras Hollywood Florida Casino Comedy Challenge. They each performed 5 minutes of live stand up comedy. 25 contestants were selected to advance to the qualifying rounds throughout the summer.

The winner of the Mardi Gras Comedy Challenge will take home $5,000 in cash and get a dream come true opening for Paula Poundstone outdoors at our spectacular Hollywood Racetrack grandstand on October 22nd! It is the largest cash prize ever for a South Florida Comedy Challenge. It is sure to be THE Fort Lauderdale Stand Up Comedy Attraction of the Year.
