Mardi Gras $5K Live Stand Up Comedy Challenge Featured Sarge

Comedian and triple threat entertainer Sarge was part of the first ever Mardi Gras Stand Up Comedy Challenge. In August 2011 the Dawg House Sports Bar became Hollywood Florida's hottest stand up comedy club. Hundreds of comics competed for a chance to win $5,000 and open for comedy legend Paula Poundstone at our world famous Hollywood Florida Racetrack. It was the most prize money ever awarded at a South Florida Comedy event.

The five qualifying rounds were headlined by different stand up comics who each performed 40 minutes of Live Stand Up Comedy. In addition to Miami native Sarge our hilarious headliners included Lady Roz G , Marion Grodin, Eddie Brill and Michele Balan. Bobby Collins performed his one of a kind live stand up comedy routine, which was THE Fort Lauderdale Stand Up Comedy Attraction of the Year.

On a recent road trip, SARGE performed three different one-hour shows for three nights in a row in front of the same audience at a corporate conference. The crowd was amazed because his material was new for each show.
